A foundation in formation, with the work already underway.
Caretrap Foundation is being established in the Netherlands. The formal incorporation is not yet complete, and we state that on every page rather than waiting until it looks better.
What we do
We investigate why people get stuck between healthcare providers, municipalities, insurers and agencies. Not by looking for someone to blame, but by looking for the recurring pattern that allows a pathway to stall while every individual party has done its job.
We publish what we find, including the parts that are not yet solid. And we develop practical routes that help someone regain ownership of their own pathway.
What we do not do
- We are not a help desk. We cannot take on individual cases or provide care.
- We do not give medical, legal or financial advice.
- We do not publish conclusions before the method behind them has been reviewed.
Where we stand
The public platforms are running: four websites and a video library, in Dutch. The research is at its start. Zero cases have been measured with our own method, and the board positions are still open.
Formal incorporation and registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce have not yet been completed. Until they are, we cannot accept tax-deductible donations and we make no claims about charitable status.
Independence
We are not funded by healthcare providers, insurers or government bodies. Funding so far comes from a public fundraiser. Any future funding relationship will be published, including what it does and does not permit us to say.
Could you strengthen this foundation?
We are looking for board members and for people who want to read along critically. The vacancies are described in Dutch, because the work involves Dutch organisations and Dutch legislation.
